Rose (ロゼ Roze?) is an Artificial Battle Chimera in the Grace Kingdom and Kisaragi Combat Agent Recruit.
Appearance[]
Rose is young girl around 14-15 years old. She has a dragon like tail peeking out from the hem of her skirt and a little demon horn protruding from behind her silver bob. She has a lock of hair that is seafoam green and much longer than her other hairs, and a lone red hair mixed in with the rest. There is a small bat-like wing protruding from her right side. Each of her eyes are a different color. For clothes, Rose wears an odd combination of bandages, ragged and mismatched garments, a partial longcoat, and sandals. Overall, her clothing leaves most of her skin revealed. In addition to these features, Rose has a broken shackle attached to her right wrist.
Personality[]
Rose staunchly follows the words written in the will of her deceased creator as a gospel.
She has chuunibyou tendencies (although she's very shy too) and is very gluttonous, although she prefers to eat fresh killed monsters by herself as opposed to monsters killed by others. She is often persuaded easily by the offer of food and is generally a good person.
History[]
Rose was created by a ancient civilization to destroy the humanity, but she forgot her purpose, although she still follows everything written within the will left by her creator.
After being discovered in stasis in a ruin, she joined Grace Kingdom army in order to learn what the government discovered in that same ruins.
During the events of Volume 3, Alice and Six force Rose to put on a stuffed suit and act as the gorilla mascot of a wealthy old man to raise money for their Base of Operations. Later she gets used to a life full of comforts in her new master's mansion and embraces her new life as patrasche. She later joins the fight against Gadalkand.
Powers & Abilities[]
Rose can copy the abilities of any monster she eats.
- Superhuman Physical Attributes: Rose's strength and speed is high enough to match against Gadalkand of the Earth, an elite member of the Demon Army.
- Crimson Breath: after eating flameburst lizards, Rose spews a jet of red-hot flame.
- Flame Immunity: She has fire resistance, although not enough to face Heine's full power.
- Flight: Rose has small wings that allow her to fly.
- Blue Lightning: Rose's horn emits a bluish-white light as she discharges electricity from her body.
Relationships[]
- "Old Man": He is the one who created Rose. She doesn't remember him very well, but wishes to know more about him and lives according to his will through acting as a chuunibyou when introducing herself, among other things.
- Combat Agent Six and Alice Kisaragi: Her superiors. They made Rose their mascot against her will, often giving orders that she doesn't agree with, although she follows through with them due to being offered something to eat. Still they care about each other as fellow combatants, and they help Rose with stuff like searching for her past, with Rose eventually voluntarily choosing to join their organization.
- Russell of the Water: Rose has a hard time calling Russell a fellow chimera due to things such as dressing up in a maid's outfit and sleeping with Tiger Man. They can still be seen sharing some interests as young chimeras, such as a interest in stuff like panda man stories, though Rose is scared of asking Russel about her origins, because she doesn't want her life to change, as he seems to have reasons to deeply hate humans.
- Lilith the Dark: They get along well, carrying conversation well when exploring ruins in volume 4 due to Lilith reminding Rose of her "Grandpa" and of them being of a similar age.
- Grimm Grimoire: Rose and Grimm are each other's only friends before Six and Alice arrive to the kingdom of grace due to the fact that they were always placed together within unwanted squads in Grace's army. They both care for one another, with Grimm often looking out for Rose's well being.
